JD-MPH
The Juris Doctorate-Master of Public Health (JD-MPH) dual degree program allows law students to complete both degrees in four years and allows for up to six credits of the JD curriculum to count towards MPH electives. Students complete the first two years of law school and then step out of the JD program after their second year to begin their MPH year.
During the fall and spring semester of their MPH year, JD-MPH students complete the majority of their MPH requirements, then end their year in our program with the completion of their MPH Applied Practice Experience (APEX) over the summer, before returning to law school to complete any outstanding requirements for both programs.
JD students can apply to the MPH program during any admissions cycle in the first two years of law school. Admitted students can defer their admission until after the second year of law school.
