Survey of the Health of Wisconsin now an ICTR-CAP affiliate program
This November, the Survey of the Health of Wisconsin (SHOW) joined the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research’s Community-Academic Partnership program as an affiliate member.
The institute’s Community-Academic Partnerships program seeks to connect UW researchers, community organizations, and community clinicians who have shared interests in community-engaged research in Wisconsin. Community-Academic Partnerships programs and affiliate programs are available for new collaborations, building on the strengths of both community and academic partners to help effectively translate research findings into practice.
SHOW is excited to join the Community-Academic Partnerships program as an affiliate member. SHOW has been working hard this past year to establish community partnerships in diverse communities throughout Milwaukee and are excited to collaborate with researchers looking to do the same.
The Community-Academic Partnerships program has multiple pilot grant opportunities open until January 15, 2020 for the following topic areas:
- collaborative health equity research
- clinical and community outcomes research
- stakeholder and patient engaged research
- dissemination a implementation research
One of the requirements is to work with an affiliate member, and SHOW is a great resource for supporting applications. SHOW’s research infrastructure is perfect for offering preliminary data for your proposal rationale, supporting new dissemination and implementation work with stakeholder communities, over 40 standardized health topics and questionnaires available for data collection, and more.
