Christine S. Seibert, MD, is the associate dean for medical student education and services. She holds administrative leadership responsibilities in the areas of admissions, curriculum and student services.

A professor in the Department of Medicine, Seibert has been deeply involved in medical student and resident teaching ,as well as faculty development, for many years. She led the expansive curriculum transformation process to integrate public health training into the MD curriculum, as well as the more recent, ambitious transition to the MD program’s ForWard Curriculum.

Seibert has been principal investigator on several large educational awards, with her most recent $2.4 million three-year grant focused on creating and enhancing curricular opportunities in community engagement, advocacy and health systems improvement for medical students.

Seibert provides comprehensive clinical care for adults in both the inpatient and ambulatory care setting. Her general internal medicine primary care practice is located at the UW Health E Terrace Dr Medical Center.

She has received the prestigious UW–Madison Chancellor’s Hilldale Award for Excellence in Teaching and the School of Medicine and Public Health’s Dean’s Teaching Award and has been elected a fellow in the University of Wisconsin Teaching Academy. She has also completed the Harvard Macy Institute Program for Medical Educators and the prestigious Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) program at the Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership at Drexel University College of Medicine.

Siebert received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and joined the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health faculty in 1995.
