Gwenevere C. McIntosh, MD, MPH, is the associate dean for students. She leads the services to support medical students throughout their education, including the Student Academic Success team, the office of visiting students, technical standards and accommodations, the House mentor system and House events, career advising and wellness initiatives.

She is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, practices as a general pediatrician and has been actively involved in medical student education regionally and nationally since joining the faculty and serves on the Executive Board of the Council of Medical Student Education in Pediatrics.

McIntosh received her undergraduate degree in biology and psychology from Wesleyan University and her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed her pediatric residency and chief residency at the University of Massachusetts. She completed her master of public health degree at the University of North Carolina and joined the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health faculty in 2000.
